Regulating sports betting in India

Sports betting is a form of gambling involving money and speculating outcome of an event. Betting market is estimated at Rs. 3 lakh crores in India. From morality angle to religious curbs, sports betting is also viewed in certain quarters as morally neutral. 

Regulating sports betting can be a revenue gainer for the exchequer. The conference on 6th June, 2012 in New Delhi organised by FICCI will discuss such betting from international and Indian perspectives. Mr. V. Lakshmikumaran, Managing Partner, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan will speak on revenue perspective.
