Conference on Value Creation through M&As
Global uncertainties and domestic factors have impacted mergers and acquisitions (M&As) in India in 2012. But 2013 is expected to be different and M&A activity is set to pick up momentum.
High interest rates, depreciation of the rupee and slow GDP growth have been attributed as reasons for the dip in M&As so far. Global economic currents like uncertainties in the Eurozone, slow recovery in the US and moderate growth rates in emerging economies have adversely impacted M&A scenario.
The FDI policy changes are expected to lift the sentiment and the deal making activity is all set to take a quantum jump. To discuss the dynamics and strategies, Assocham is organising a conference on 30th April, 2013 in New Delhi. Besides heads of regulatory bodies and government departments, experts from industry and law firms will deliberate on issues like value creation by internal consolidation, unlocking business valuation, tax planning, domestic/international taxation, valuation through acquisitions and the like.
