Adarsh Ramanujan started as an expert in intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis in patent law. He is a registered Patent Attorney in India. He has experience in patent, trademark, unfair competition and copyright dispute settlement and litigation. His litigation practice also included practice before the Indian patent office and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board, dealing with issues relating to validity of IPR.
Adarsh Ramanujan is the Director of the Geneva Office of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan and he advises governments and multinational corporations on WTO disciplines and dispute settlement. Being a general practitioner in public international law and international trade law, he advises governments on implementation and compliance with the WTO agreements and WTO accession negotiations. His practice focuses on resolving wide variety of international trade disputes, including subsidies, anti-dumping and safeguard measures, sanitary and phyto-sanitary measures, technical regulations and standards. With a vast experience in IPR law and handling trade remedy investigations and proceedings, he particularly specializes in trade remedies law and the TRIPs.
In addition, with a background in Indian tax and regulatory laws, he advises on a wide range of transactions and associated regulatory issues.
Adarsh Ramanujan is a visiting lecturer at the National Law Universities in Jodhpur and New Delhi. He has authored or coauthored more than 25 publications on diverse topics, including tax, public international law and IPR, in various reputed national and international journals. He is a member of LESI and AIPPI.
